Lime Paint - Mouse
Lime Paint is a water-based mineral paint formulated with natural pigments. It creates a breathable, matte finish with a vibrant, cloudy effect.
Applications: Suitable for walls and ceilings - not suitable for in damp areas. For this we recommend our Mineral Paint.
Suitable substrates for our Lime Paint are plastered walls and ceilings, drywall, and renovation or glass fleece wallpaper. It is important that the substrate be clean and level. For visible seams or holes, we recommend filling and leveling them properly first. For best results, we always recommend using our Lime Primer before applying the Lime Paint.
Application Instructions: Apply in two coats with a block brush. Because it is a natural product, we recommend application within 1 to 2 weeks. After this period, the color may possibly change.
Drying time: Minimum of 6 hours
Indoor/Outdoor: Inside
Protection paint: To protect the Lime Paint from moisture and dirt, we recommend the use of our special coating. Without this finishing coat, the paint is not removable.
Note: The coating should only be applied after at least one week of drying of the Lime Paint. This prevents undesirable effects such as white stains and ensures optimum adhesion and protection.
Processing temperature: 8-30°C
Shelf life: Store in the original packaging, in a dry and frost-free place. Lime paint has a shelf life of at least 6 months after the delivery date.
Packaging: 2.5 - 5 liter can
Consumption: Approx. 6-10 m2 per liter (2 coats)
Important information about Lime Paint
Our Lime Paint is available in an extensive color palette, customized to your requirements. Since this is a natural product, slight color variations may occur between different batches. Therefore, always check the color before you start painting. Please note that paint mixed by color cannot be returned.
Unlike standard wall paint, which often darkens after drying, Lime Paint actually dries lighter. This unique effect emphasizes the natural, vibrant look. Because Lime Paint is produced by hand, slight color differences may occur between cans. To ensure color consistency, we recommend pre-mixing new cans and switching to a new wall when using a different can.
With light shades, the subtle hues may be less prominent. The final result is influenced by several factors, such as the substrate and application technique. Therefore, follow our specific application instructions carefully. Variations in the shade effect of Lime Paint are a natural feature of the product and do not constitute grounds for complaint.
Consumption and Tips:
Lime Paint consumes an average of 6-10 m² per liter. For a second coat, you can choose to dilute it to 30% with water. This is optional and creates a more cloudy effect.
Final consumption depends on factors such as substrate, preparation, and application technique. Order enough paint to avoid color differences between batches. If there is a shortage, mix a new can with the remaining paint for consistent results.
Maintenance tips:
Lime Paint is a fragile product. Touching up small damages or spots is not recommended, as they may remain visible. For better protection against dirt and stains, and to make the wall easier to clean, we recommend using our Coating, especially in heavily used areas such as staircases and kitchens.
Notice:
If damage does occur, or if you have made repairs to the wall after the first or second coat, the entire surface must be re-treated. This means first reapplying a coat of primer to the wall and then applying a full new coat of Lime Paint for consistent results.
Application Lime Paint:
(Be sure to prime the surface first)
Step 1: Mix the lime Paint well with a paint mixer or stirring rod
Step 2: Pour paint into a paint tray or work directly from the can
Step 3: Apply the 1st coat of Lime Paint crosswise with a block brush
Step 4: Let the paint dry for min. 6 hours and clean your block brush well before layer 2
Step 5: Apply the 2nd coat of Lime Paint crosswise with a block brush. (2nd coat optionally dilute to 30% for an even more cloudy effect)
Step 6: Allow the 2nd coat to dry for min. 6 hours
Step 7: Apply a coating if necessary. The paint is not removable without a coating.
Notice: Should you provide the Lime Paint with a coating layer, the paint should dry for at least 1 week. This will prevent white stains.

What is the difference between the Lime Paint and Mineral Paint?
Although both paints have a matte finish, the main difference lies in the finish, texture, and application. Lime Paint creates a soft, cloudy effect that exudes tranquility and authenticity, ideal for a timeless atmosphere. Suitable exclusively for walls, this paint is applied with a block brush. Mineral Paint offers a matte finish with a subtle texture thanks to its fine grain and is suitable for both walls and furniture.
